It should be under Advanced > Onboard Devices Configuration > PCIEX16_1 Mode or Bandwidth.

I don't know why mi riser suddenly stopped working. It was working just fine and then didn't work any more. Anyone knows any common problem that might be causing this? The led it's saying it's a vga problem logically. The PC it's just not giving image, apart from that it posts.

Have you tried running without the riser, and just mounting the GPU directly to the PCIe x16 slot?

yes and it works, thats how I know that its the riser. In fact Im writing this from the pc

Guess you need a new riser then, if you're set on mounting the GPU vertically.

dont you think it could be something that was changed in the bios somehow or anything like that?

 I have no idea

Not likely.

The PC doesn't know the difference between your GPU being mounted in a riser vs being mounted in the motherboard's x16 slot.

If the GPU mounted directly to the motherboard works fine, but mounting it in the riser doesn't work, the riser is likely the issue here.

Especially if the riser was previously working and then suddenly stopped.

I ended up trying the riser in a different computer and it worked perfectly fine. Then I came back home and I tryed using the fabric configuration of the bios, to see if that could change anything but it didnt. At this point I dont undertand. Im out of ideas

The riser may be pcie 3.0 only. Try setting the pcie slot to gen 3 in the bios.

B550 supports gen 4.

What motherboard are you using?
