So.. My friend gave me his PC to fix up. Told me he had a dead motherboard and said multiple people had told him the same. I was gonna install it then reinstall windows and stuff.

I've now run into huge problems with this whole installation process. First, his computer just would not install Windows.. It wouldn't accept it. Tried like 3 times. So I switched Windows disks. This time it worked, yet I got all the way into Windows and right when it was gonna boot a black screen came up with a cursor blinking. Made another disk (all different downloads) this time it installed but it boots into windows shows the home screen then goes black. It works fine in safe mode. Like perfectly. Ran a diagnostic and said Windows booted suvlccessfully. I'm really at a loss for words here and just don't know what to do for this.

What onboard video adapter does it have?

According to Microsoft you require 128mb of VRAM to run to windows 7 (Although this is complete BS). The video adapter on your motherboard may not meet the required standards, or simple be broken as people have claimed the motherboard to be faulty., try an old GPU i believe windows 7 standards installation media has basic drivers for most AMD/NVidia cards.

If you want to get really technical you could try building a custom windows installation ISO with drivers that the system may need. This is not exactly an easy task to complete however and it may not actually be the issue.
