B350 upgrade needed?

You could get faster RAM, but that would be a waste of money. So no, no real benefits.

Faster RAM and PCIe 4.0, but neither of those will yield you much observable benefit in day to day use. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Depending on your GPU, PCIe 4.0 could be on the table if you go to an X570 board. Faster RAM is also possible. Are either of those two things enough to make it worth the high price of an X570 upgrading your board right now? Not for me, but ymmv.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

B550 has PCIe 4.0 too. 

 

Again though, PCIe 4.0 isn't much of a selling point because there is no card you would actually want to buy for such a system that is limited by PCIe 3.0 and on ordinary day to day use you won't notice a benefit from the additional speed of 4.0 SSDs.

Well, now I look like a saavy shopper, buying an X570 board for PCIe 4.0 when B550 does the same thing.*

*j/k, it was the only ITX board in the store and it was actually a pretty good deal with the CPU/mobo discount

 

I was thinking more for PCIe 4.0 GPUs, but point taken. PCIe 4.0 SSDs aren't really even a consideration for me at this point.
