Poor frametimes in games

I am getting very poor frametimes in games that should have no issue, terraria is feeling like a stuttery mess and the best it can do isn't even that amazing. any help is appreciated

What monitor and resolution do you play on? Thermals of your pc okay?

Try turn off Vsync or any Sync and turn on frame limiter.

i run on 1440p

i believe my thermals are ok, i will double check

this is with the frame limiter off
