Need video card advice

This is the build that I am working on right now. (Build) right now the rx 6900 xt is sitting at $999 bur the rx 6950 xt is sitting at $779 would it be better to get the 6950 and would I need to get a bigger power supply or would the 850w supply be enough?

you’re fine with the 850w supply and yes the 6950xt is better

 

also your SSD is gen3, you should get a gen4 ssd for that price

You can always undervolt if power consumption is an issue; but in my experience an 850 watt PSU should be fine.

in relation to only those two cards, yes, it's a faster card and it's cheaper. 

 

In general though, you should probably be just going for a 6900 XT and getting one of the 3-4 that are sitting at ~$700 rather than $1000. My vote would be for the OC formula since it's the cheapest of the XTXH cards (there are 2 versions of the 6900 XT, the XTXH ones are higher binned and do perform about 5% better out of the box and are basically 6950 XTs with a slightly lower power limit out of the box), though an argument could be made for waiting a month and going for the upcoming 7900 XT or 7900 XTX if you're willing to spend $1000 on a video card. Odds are the 6900 XT is fast enough though, so while the 7900 XT will be a lot faster, you wouldn't really need the extra horsepower

Weird setup with 700$+ in storage and $300- monitor, do you really need that much M2 storage ?? Usually 2TB M2 SSD are enough for fast access, then you could get a huge SATA SSD or HDD for large storage (possibly pairing HDDs in RAID1 mode to gain speed)

 

But well regarding GPU you should just wait 1,5 month and get a 7900XTX
