Is 10 Pro worth it?

Guest

I've done good with Home for a while, but I like the looks of some of the features, like remote desktop. Is the upgrade worth the price?

If you could utilize the other features not normally available via home edition. I'd say it's worth. If you don't end up using any of the features... well then I'd say go spend your money elsewhere.

Pro is only for specific use cases, if you don't know if you need it, you shouldn't get it.

If RDP is the only option you're looking at, there are many other free alternatives.

If you get a $7 grey market key off eBay, yeah. If you don't... then any paid version of Windows wasn't worth it to begin with unless you're a business.

I think technically you can just install W10 Pro for free and use it with maybe the watermark (usually ways to remove it though), but if you don't want to reinstall, entering the key automatically downloads the extra bits without needing a reinstall from USB.
