1080P Challenge!

This type of fantasy builds or "challenges" which won't never be made are seen as pointless and thus aren't allowed here.

For those who don't know, 1080p is 1920 by 1080. There happens to be a Threadripper 1920, and a 1080 GPU chipset. What's the best "1080p" build you can make?

Limitations:

CPU must be Threadripper 1920

GPU must either be 1080 or 1080 TI

(Actual resolution it can run at doesn't matter 馃榿)

There is your computer. You have it slap a whatever board, 16gb of ram and a 500gb ssd + a 550w decent quality psu and done.

It's going to SUCK MASSIVELY for gaming as first gen threadripper is AWFULL for gaming like almost amd fx levels of bad performance wise in a lot of cases and otherwise it's so buggy games wont even run or will crash a lot.

It鈥檚 really not that bad. You can also shut聽off most of the cores and OC the snot out of the rest聽

Yes and then you lsoe the entire point of the thing. That and 8 cores are the minimum for current games. So this is only a temp solution.

These also suck at overclocking.

Even then its still just bad and there are so many cheaper better options out there.

What? I just bought a game that's in early access that loves to load up two cores of my 5950X, and leave the rest untouched.

They suck at overclocking the full die. You can turn off most of the cores and overclock say 8 of the cores and get better results.聽

Yeah but they鈥檙e not as fun聽
