It may be a silly question but I've never really used PC Part Picker all that much in the past, When I go an order the motherboard regardless it will be on the latest version of BIOS right? like I assume so cause that just make the most sense but id rather be 100% sure, thanks for the help 馃檪

Not always. It will have the latest version that was available when that board was manufactured. Could be 2 months old, could be over a year old, depending on how long ago it has been made.

If it doesn't come with the latest BIOS it's not an issue though. This board supports BIOS flashback, so you can update even without CPU.

My current build:
CPU: AMD FX-8350

RAM: 16GB DDR3 800MHZ

MB: 970A-DS3P FX

GPU: GTX 1660 SUPER

240GB SSD + 2TB HDD
My upgrade in mind:
CPU: RYZEN 5 5600G OR X

RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHZ

MB: ASUS B550-PLUS
GPU: KEEP THE SAME

I have never had much of a play around before with M.2 drives was also wondering if this is something that I may get recommended?

My current issue with my build is that is that I have roughly 30% bottleneck on my CPU since my GPU is so much better in comparison that's why I plan for these upgrades but I guess my question is,

is there a more cost effective upgrade that I may be able to look into that gives me both no bottleneck on my CPU but also just a overall really good processor for a cheaper price than a Ryzen 5 5600x or G or even a different motherboard that I may be able to look into that's more cost effective also, I mainly game on my computer and I currently run into the issue of stutter which is quite predictable when you see what I'm running haha, I have only made about 2 upgrades since 2018 when I first got my PC but this is my first ever major upgrade than I plan to do, for reference I use GBP 拢, looking forward to the feedback and suggestions, thank you.

Don't get the 5600G. It's just a 5500 with an iGPU, so slower than a 5600X and only supports up to PCIe 3.0. Get a 5600 or 5600X instead, whichever is cheaper as both perform very similar.

I wouldn't upgrade storage just for M2. But having extra SSD storage would definitely make a difference since 240gb isn't a lot and that 2tb HDD is slow.

Also the聽Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 is better and cheaper.
