How do I store my information?

Budget (including currency):  200-500 CAD (or about 150-370 USD) with the hhd/storage

 

Country:  Canada/ usa

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Storage, suspected 4tb-20 ( closer to the low side, possibly). 

Other details: I want to make a storage system (mainly for chia mining, I’m sorry) but I’m having trouble. I don’t know which raid/ jbod procedure to use, or the external storage bay I want. Amazon.ca, newegg, and MicroCenter all allowed. I just need advice, and I might not go there. This will be attached to a separate pc, which I know almost everything, content wise, except the mobo ( other issue I most likely can solve). I will have a separate storage in my pc that this is connected to, so most likely no/ like games. Bulk storage first, redundancies second. Thank you for your help.
