Do you have V-Sync enabled? If enabled the GPU will synchronize to the monitor's refresh. If it misses an update window, it'll have to wait for the next one, dropping to half that i.e. 60 to 30.

I may have found the solution.

Just updated my Intel iGPU driver and restarted as was required, I booted up Fortnite in Fullscreen mode with the same settings and it worked just fine.

It could easily break again if I restart, so I hope it won't!

Ever since I've updated to Windows 11 this issue has been happening. I assume this is because a new set of drivers have been installed. My external display is a TV and I haven't had any issue using it on Windows 10. Strangely I fixed it by accident one time while using Windows 11, I cannot pinpoint what I did but it fixed itself.

This occurs only when in Fullscreen or Borderless Fullscreen, and is only present on Fortnite.

What could this be caused by?

It's not exactly 30, it can drop to about 30 and everything in between. It's mostly 45-50 fps every few seconds and it's really annoying.

I went into device manager and it shows that the TV uses the generic pnp driver, and I'm not sure if this is the culprit or not.

There is also some audio crackling.

I've tried V-Sync on and off, no difference.
