Does my cpu fan push or pull air?

Hi. If you’re PC-building expert, this probably sounds like a stupid question, so sorry about that. But, I bought an se-214-xt cooler from ID-COOLING to cool my cpu, but I have no idea if I should point it towards my case’s exhaust fan, or the direction that may have cool air, because I don’t know if it takes the hot air from the CPU and pushes it out, or if it takes in cool air to cool the cpu. I can’t find the answer to this anywhere online. If you answer this, thank you.

I would put it just like in the product picture on the heat sink.

Towards the front of the case with the plastic "cage" against the cooler fins. This will suck cool air into the fins and push the warm air out towards the exhaust fan.

Virtually every fan will pull air through the open side and push it out the side with the "cage"

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

the typical orientation for the cpu cooler would be to put it in-line with your case airflow
