So...

Does anyone actually have this laptop? It's from 2012

Here's an Anandtech article on it http://www.anandtech.com/show/6370/toshiba-satellite-u845w-ultrabook-review-going-wide-at-219

I reckon it would be cool to have a "properly sized" and "properly specd" version, meaning the screen height is at least that of a 13.3 inch laptop and have some sort of dedicated gpu and decent cpu.

Although having it "properly sized" might cause compatibility issues with laptop bags.

Thoughts?

I don't know who's idea that was but it wasn't a very good one. I love 21:9 for desktops, but it's pointless for a small display.

for a laptop 21:9 is bad

21:9 is good for around 28+ inches

Well, I just thought that having more horizontal screen space would be great for multi-document work, I know I'd use it. In fact, I think I'll get a 21:9 1080p monitor for my next desktop

I don't really see a point of this. If you want to be productive then buy a regular laptop and hook more screens up to it. If you want to game then buy a desktop. I don't want one also because it wouldn't be as portable. Also how many normal people would buy something like this?
