Hello.

So recently i installed windows 7 on a older laptop, and took out the hard drive with the os, and put in my main pc. The computer boots up, but when the password screen comes up, i am not able to type or move my mouse, but i am able to move them in bios.

What could be the problem here, and how can i possibly solve it?

Please ask more questions below if needed.

I had this exact issue when I reinstalled Win7, the trick is to either only use the keyboard (that worked for me) or use PS/2-peripherals (the round green and purple connectors, if your motherboard still has them). You could also try switching the USB ports, sometimes some of them are wired to be a sort of failsafe connector that just works.

I will find your Laptop thread and I will recommend an ITX build instead

try the front headers, drivers prob haven't been installed as per win 7 ancient wisdom of settings.

Would it work if i would take out the hard drive, put it in a laptop, install the mouse and keyboard drivers there, and then just put the hard drive back in my computer. Would that work?
