Better experience overall, I have the same CPU-GPU combo, trust me when I say that the 12400 (1440p) still have a lot of headroom for current games.

Just change the PSU to the Thermaltake GF1 PE, higher quality PSU for not much more. FYR https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/

Budget (including currency): $900-1100 USD

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Light Gaming (Sims 4, Minecraft, Fortnite, CSGO etc.)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I've been doing some research on parts and this is the current build I'm thinking about going with.  Another option I was thinking about was going with a 5700x instead of the 11400k but wasn't sure if it would be worth it.  Will take any tips/suggestions!!

Cheaper RAM, cheaper SSD, cheaper (but high quality) PSU, budget reallocated to 6700 XT instead of 6600 or go with 6600 XT if you'd like it to be cheaper.

I'd say the performance difference is well worth it.

RAM, the cheaper the better, SSD as long as it is decent enough, you won't feel any difference when gaming.

Happened to have a partlist laying around so jusr added a damn case and swapped cpu for a 5700x

Board wise just go on your local used market and buy a used <60$ b3/450 or x3/470 since decent stuff like the pro4 can still be had at that pricepoint, if you cant find a wifi board then theres the b550 phantom gaming 4 ac at 90$

Gpu wise ebay used 6700xt are floating ~350$, if you wanna max out your budget there are used 6800 hovering ~500$ with 3070 i think also going for the same price
