Sanity check

Go to solution Solved by dizmo,

Looks fine, but do you really need 32GB of RAM?
Also, don't bother quoting USD pricing, as it has no relevance to you. Including the link to where you're buying was a great choice.

Might be worth checking the used market for the GPU. Lots of good deals to be had right now in most parts of the world.

Welcome to the forum.

Budget (including currency): 15000-17000 NOK ( Norwegian kroner) (quick Google search shows that its around 1500 USD)

Country: Norway

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used: Fallout 4, Cyberpunk 2077 etc etc etc. mainly new and older singelplayer games, and I dont need everything to run at Max, just need a comfortable fps

What I can rip out of my old pc:

- old Corsair RM750 psu ( I think its good enough form an 3070ti…?)

- storage

- the case

- cpu cooler

subject for upgrades later

Just fyi: Komplett.no is the biggest online electonics retailer up here in no man’s land, so its where om going to buy parts from

Looks okay besides the k cpu on the b660 board, I'd get the non k since you can't oc it.

https://www.komplett.no/product/1205702/datautstyr/pc-komponenter/hovedkort/intel-socket/gigabyte-b660-gaming-x-hovedkort?productList=notSet&position=11

This board would be fine for a 12700 while being cheaper as well

To my surprise nvidia cards are cheaper than amd cards at similar performance, so the 3070ti isn't a bad choice

Thank you, I dont think im going to try any overclocking, not my forte. i just did a Google search for best bang for buck and the 12700k came up, had forgotten about all the k and kf stuff.
