Windows 11, Xbox One Controller Problem

I started playing Tunic on Game Pass PC last night on my desktop. I figured the keyboard controls are weird, so I switched to my Xbox controller because it feels like a game that needs that. So, love the game, no issues with anything. I sat down just now with my laptop however (same Dell Alienware ridden I talked about in a previous post), and I connected the controller the same way I did the desktop. I downloaded Tunic, got my save data, and started the game. The first thing I decided to do was look at my inventory and so I hit LB. Nothing happened. I hit LB again, nothing happened. I went to go move the fox and nothing. The whole controller stopped working. I hit the big X button to bring up the game bar and that worked. If I poke around in there and hit it again to make it go away and back to the game, my controller works again, but LB, menu, and back buttons all lock the controller up and make it stop controllering. Batts are brand new; it works on my other PC still. What do I do about this?

EDIT: Just tried Doom 1993, full controller works. I'm guessing it's specifically Tunic on this Dell laptop. I have all updates, Bluetooth driver is good, and everything seems to be in order. It seems to be the game causing the controller to stop working when I hit certain buttons, but the keyboard still works.

Some games require additional DLL for controller, maybe the game just didn't come with the dll.

When I played Forza Horizon 3 bought from MS Store, it can't register the controller unless I use a software.

Try to download https://www.x360ce.com/ and follow the guidelines for installation.

If I needed that program to begin with, why didn't I need it on my desktop? The controller works while playing the game, but the controller stops working when I hit LB or (back... select?) button. I need a fix, not a workaround.

Like I said, if the issue is with the game itself, it needs an additional DLL for the controller, GAME not DESKTOP.

Do you even read that I said? That software will create that DLL file for the game.

I gave you a solution, it's up to you to decide whether it is a "fix" or a "workaround".

Best of luck.

You gave me a link to an extremely sketchy looking controller emulator site, not a DLL file. Also, your reply was vague at best making me think "Just download this emulator and map it and not worry about it." Try actually saying what you mean when you type instead of leaving out crucial information that would make me think you're sending a DLL instead of a controller emulator like you did. Also, still don't see that DLL file.

Edit: Sorry for being rude. I'm looking for a reason this happens and to fix it genuinely, so it doesn't cause other issues and I don't have sketchy programs lingering around on my PC. I've sent an email to the devs of the game because this clearly is an internal game issue that can't be fixed with duct tape.
