currently I have 16 gigs on my pc, but I do alot of multitasking for my work and gaming aswell. I was thinking about getting another pair of 16 sticks for my pc, but I saw some Gskill 32 gig sticks for only 40 bucks more. would it be alright for me to get 2 16 sticks and plug it into my pc to get 48 gig of ram ? It's the same brand and clock speed and timing. would I get any performance impact on my system ?

48GB will work, but 32GB is usually more than adequte. How much are you using now?

I'd personally get another 16GB kit of the same as you have.  Going 16 to 32 is a big step.

Currently when I'm doing my work I'm using atleast 10 to 12 gigs of ram. I run an Android emulator for app debugging, Discord to talk to my co workers, and chrome of course.

10-12GB, I wouldn;t bother upgrading. That's 60-75% of your total RAM, and if you factor what Windows locks up, you're only using a half or so.  When you get up to 14GB+, then I would say there is a need for more headroom.

But if you want up add more anyway, just go another 16GB kit.  48GB won't matter since using 12gb of 32 and 12GB of 48 will be the same performance.  RAM only really matters when you start running out of it.  More doesn't make things faster relative to less.

Ok so I got 32 gigs (Thanks in parts to someone gifting me a Amazon gift card) and as doing my thing, I noticed that the ram was still clocked at 2133mhz, both sticks are rated for 3600mhz, am I missing something ?, Do I need to go into Bios to get that speed ?

You need to enable RAM OC. It's one click in the BIOS.

Yes, it'll be XMP or DOCP depending on Intel or AMD respectively.  It should be a drop down and list your RAM's speed in there, as most RAM profiles are loaded into modern BIOS.

Holler if you have trouble finding it.
