Hi, I have an SD card reader that seemed to stop appearing on windows explorer no matter what USB slot I used. So naturally I bought a new reader, this appears but only if I don't have an SD card in it, if I do it says "please insert a disk into removable disk (U:)." (I changed the letter in the hope it'd help) no matter which of my 3 SD cards still nothing. If I put in a micro SD card its fine but my 3D printers use the bigger ones and they all seem to work in the printers!

it also seems to make my pc freeze while the card is in the reader until I pull the card out

Any help is appreciated

Have you considered using a micro to standard SD adapter? Usually run like 2-3usd if they don't come with the micro SD to begin with.
