So i downloaded hardware info and saw that my ram was only going at 1800 MHz still even though i thought changed it to 3600 which it is supposed to go at so I went into BoIS and turned on d.o.c.p and nothing changed, so i looked around in BoIS ( i have a Asus motherboard with AMD) i found memory overclocking and put it on 3600 MHz and now the dram light is on and it refuses to go in to BoIS or start.

Please help

Hi, I thought the same thing. It was explained to me as DDR = Double Data Rate, so 1600 would show as 800.

If I'm being honest i don't fully understand it, but I've not had any issues and then chap that told me is knows a lot more than I do.

I hope that helps.

1800 is the correct speed, as @EdOrangewas saying, it will show as half the speed, so 1800 is 3600. try clearing the cmos, and then once it boots, turn docp back on, and see if it is saying 1800 again or not.

edit: this will help if you are unsure of how to clear cmos, and what it does(resets bios settings to factory defaults): https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025368/processors.html

yes, clearing the cmos. if the ram settings you changed aren't allowing the pc to boot, they need to be reset by clearing the cmos.

edit: is the pc booting? or nothing?
