Please help! {Ugent} {Windows Installation problem}

Hi guys!

 

 

My neighbour asked if i could reinstall Windows 8.1 for her, so i agreed and got her laptop. I installed Windows 8.1 .iso on a USB drive with Windows USB DVD Download Tool and it was ready to go. 

 

In plugged the USB in and booted it. The Asus screen keeps going on and off screen so i think he can't find a good boot drive.. 

 

When the USB is inserted i can't acces the BIOS (F2) but if it is unplugged it works.

 

I've set all the USB options as first priority's for booting but that didn't help.

 

 

 

Please help!

i had that issue with a friends UEFI based laptop that shipped with windows8 i was able to reinstall it via dvd

Yeah, it a small laptop that doesn't have a CD/DVD drive.
