airflow behind motherboard

Hey so do you boys and girls out there, do you think it helps to have a fan that creates a little air flow behind the motherboard?

Not much. An importance place on the motherboard that requires airflow is heatsinks cooling the VRM components.

Agreed, boards are basically wafers so if you keep the front cool there's really not enough material for the back to heat up independently of the front.
