No Boot Device HELP!

Go to solution Solved by NF-A12x25,

Either a drive has failed, or it’s come unplugged. Try plugging your hard drive or SSD back in.

If it’s failed, you’ll need to get a new drive and your files are toast. That’s why backing up your system is so important. But hopefully it’s just unplugged.

Hello

I’ve been trying to work this out all day and nothing has worked. At this point I just want to completely reset it.

When I boot my computer it always says to provide a proper booting device. It is a black screen saying that.

Could someone please help me because nothing will work after a whole day of going on google.

Anything that will work I am fine with as long as I can get back into my computer.

How can I add a backup?

Too late for that if your files are already gone; if the drive is just unplugged or something then you can plug it back in and get a USB hard disk (I would not trust a thumb drive) and use File History from Windows to actively save a copy of your system.

since you have a backup already though, you can get a new drive and reinstall Windows
