Pretty sure they mean online ordering like Amazon, Newegg etc.

Per Corsair "The revolutionary AXi Series™ PSUs are the first desktop PC power supplies to use digital (DSP) control and CORSAIR iCUE to bring you an unprecedented level of monitoring and performance customization. The DSP in the AX860i makes on-the-fly adjustments for incredibly tight voltage regulation, 80 PLUS®, PLATINUM Efficiency, and clean, stable power."

Corsair also has/had HXi models.

OP may want to look at Dark Power Pro 12 which are digital.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Correct, that's what I'm looking for.

What's your specs since I can't seem to discern your pcpartpicker list? The a1000g is a solid psu and probably what if go with here, with the assumption that your build would need a 1kW psu of course

Sorry, thought I had that in the original. OP is updated. Still figuring out the CPU cooler and PSU.

The unify x is provbaly one of the best boards for ram oc,  but any reason why you have such an unbalanced gpu cpu combo? Is what you're doing heavily cpu intensive?

The RTX 3060 seems out of place. Certainly a 1000W PSU would be overkill. Is there a plan to get a more powerful GPU? If not a 750W or 850W would be more than sufficient.

GPU is existing, got it in a NewEgg shuffle a while back.

If I were to recommend a CPU to friends, it'd be an i5 or i7. An i9 It could be overkill for me, but I want this build to last for at least 7 years (as my 6700k has). And I do things like programming and run VMs, so I've certainly stretched my build (even when it was new).

Yes, depending on GPU prices and time I can dedicate to gaming. Quite likely I'll sell the 3060 to put towards something bigger. Plus, this is my "forever build", so I want to go more than the usual 15% breathing room.
