Hi! I want to purchase a cd from the UK and I have two options. I can buy it from amazon.co.uk so Amazon sells it, and there it is sold by a merchant and fulfilled by Amazon. The merchant that sells it has a company OneShot Music Ltd. registered and the details are available on Amazon and also a few business websites where you can see information about companies. His company looks legit, even has information about CEOs financial stuff so on... and also in the information it says they are a wholesale business wholesale merchants but also retail. The other option is from a local music store, where the guy told me that he orders the cds from wholesale merchants in this case from the UK and then they import the cd and he sells it to me. So the options seem kinda similar. However I don't know who to trust more, Amazon is pretty reliable but I don't know. What do you think? Where should I buy it from? The Amazon item is sold by that merchant and it says dispatches from Amazon. But then does that validate the product or the merchant? So where do you think I should buy from?

yeah but if we put aside that I was just wondering which option is more reliable

It comes from the same place regardless.  "reliable" is a non-sequitor.  Whoever has it in stock will be able to get it to you.  If your perception of Amazon is "more reliable"--keep in mind that this is only based on existing on-hand stock.  if the supplier is out--and Amazon can't get from the supplier--you are hosed either way.

Either one will be reliable until they aren't. Amazon is a last resort for me when their offering is the only one availble or significantly cheaper. I say get it from the local shop.

amazon has better warranties, smaller shops can't really compete

local smaller shops are useful if you need something as soon as possible, and are somewhat usefull to get contacts

as I see it's about cds, I would buy it from the author, so there are less middlemans

what do you mean from the author?

idk what sort of cd are you buying

if it's music, you can probably buy directly from them or Bandcamp sort of stuff

oh no probably not. I am buying a Disney cd made by WaltDisneyRecords xd. I don't think I can buy from them directly, I would have if I could but I don't think I can. And I checked the Disney shop for cds they have cds but not this one since it's an older one. I also want the UK edition so I want to buy it from the UK and the only options I found were those-Amazon and the local shop that can import it and send it to me. So yeah this is it
