Stumbled upon this Ultimate Hackintosh Guide done by Linus himself.  I haven't looked at it yet, but it pertains to what you want to do.

Check out this Workstation Graphics Card Test.

 

Again, not my realm of expertise, so I hope that information helps you.  The AMD R9 290X beats out the Nvidia 780Ti in all applications except for one.  But the test also has more workstation grade graphics cards that are probably more of what you are looking for.
