The 8 pin connector does not match up with the motherboard. One of the square connectors is off. Post a pic in a minute

Im trying to connect my AX1200W Corsair power supply to the dual 4 pin connector on my Asus X79. It won't fit. Should I just connect 1 of the 4 pin connectors? Any help much appreciated. Thank you

Really think its necessary that's half my budget. Not trying to pretend that I know anything about this...

1. Budget & Location I'm located in Canada but I can buy parts in the US if they're cheaper. Budget: $3000 CAD or $2700 US 2. Aim My new job requires a fair bit of work in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, etc. I'm not much of a gamer and the really aim is for a work station. 3. Monitors I already have 2 x 4K Samsung U28D590D Monitors which I intend to use. 4. Peripherals No need for any peripherals.. I'll be running Windows 8.1. I've considered setting up a dual boot system running Mac OS. 5. Why are you upgrading?
