I really like the LTT backpack concept, design and features; however, I never considered buying it because it's just too big for my daily commuting.

Looking at how big the laptop compartment is, I thought that a version without the main compartment (so just the laptop and the front sections) would make an excellent slim laptop bag; I'd definitely be a customer!! Also, seems like large parts of the existing backpack could be reused.

Keep on delivering great products!! The world needs more perfectionists.

I'm of a similar mindset. While having a large all-encompassing backpack would be nice to have in general, I'd likely use it less often than I'd probably like to, not to mention the price tag and current backlog of orders.

A laptop/messenger-style bag with the same LTT design ethos and focus on quality would be a good option that I'd consider ahead of the full-size backpack.

Something akin to:

I imagine a slim backpack is fairly low on their priority list. You can get slim/regular backpacks for tons of manufacturers. They made their tech bag huge and durable because it met all of the needs they wanted that other premium backpacks didn't fulfill. Making a slim version makes it a much more generic product.

Just want to follow up to say at least I'm interested in a slimmer bag. Want as many features and the quality, but something not so big.

Surely a lot of people don't need a large backpack, but a slimmer bag for short travel/work are used very frequently.

Anyway just to let the creator team know, it's something I would buy straight away

Afaik, Linus said they are working on this so we should see it at some point.

If he's doing this then great, but is it a smaller backpack with a new design/layout?

I know he said he's doing a smaller version for people like his wife, but I thought that meant the same design just a smaller scale for people with a smaller frame. I only heard it mention once so hopefully you can confirm
