I recently bought an LG Ultragear 32GN650B' monitor, but for some reason I keep getting this prompt: "An Incorrect DisplayPort Version Setting Will Cause The Screen To Be Blank".

I reinstalled the gpu amd vision driver, also the one from the device manager, changed the cable, the DP version from the monitor settings and unplugged the monitor for one hour and plugged back in, moved the cable from a DP slot to the remaining two ones.

Also the HDMI and DisplayPort slots from the GPU are not shown on the AMD Vision driver.

I have an AMD Vega 64 Liquid Cooled GPU

Intel I7 11700F

AsRock B560 Steel Legend Motherboard

Gskill 16 GB 3000Mhz CL 16 RAM

Does any one have this issue and any info how to fix it? It is annoying and i am out of info how to get rid of it. @LinusTechmaybe on the future you will make a video how to get rid of this error. Seems that it only happens on LG Ultragear monitors when removing the cable from monitor and gpu and putting back in.

Is the screen working? I'm pretty sure that's an informational prompt, not a warning that something is wrong with your screen or device. I have two LG monitors connected via DisplayPort that both work perfectly, and both show that prompt every time they turn on.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This, it's just a warning|informational prompt and not something to worry about

The screen is working properly but that prompt is annoying. In the past it did not appear. Also the gpu ports are not displayed in the Amd Vision. Pretty weird. 🤔

Hello, this is my first time here, so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right 🙂 Did you find a solution? My situation is that I had a few friends over, they unplugged my Monitor cable from the pc and when I plugged it back in it didn't work anymore and I get the same message on my screen: An incorrect DisplayPort Version Setting will cause the screen to be blank, if this occurs, make sure the DisplayPort Version setting of your monitors matches the device its connected to.

I don't actually think it's caused by the unplugging off the cable, because I messed with the power button on the monitor a little before I turned it off the last time and that might have changed something with the DisplayPort if you're still on this idk pls help me ty 🙂 @andi_mitrofan1987@BobVonBob  @LinusTechh Hey btwmy screen is on blackscreen so I can't do anything on my pc rn that's a big problem for me. It is defenitely an Issue that was caused immediately when I did that.
