Got a deal on a used rtx 3070 Gaming OC for 365 dollars. Seller said it had low mining hours, and was ran under volted. I trust him since he is not some random person to me, but what do you guys think? I’ve done my research and asked him to verify everything abt the card, it checks out

Sounds fine. I'd probably try to negotiate it down a bit more, but $365 is fair for a mined on 3070, especially if you know the guy to be able to do warranty through him if necessary. Mined on cards are pretty OK for everything except the 3070 Ti and up since G6X can supposedly degrade quite a bit if temps aren't managed fully, but this is the card I'd be willing to still use.

If I were in the market for a card, I'd probably take that deal.

Yeah absolutely, he offered me to exchange the card if it’s not to my liking etc… and it’s not really a deal I see myself passing up, I tried looking online for similarly priced cards but couldn’t find anything that wasn’t sketch

Well with the ETH merge we will see a LOT more GPUs going to the market. It's a 50/50 gamble though, since you can never be sure how much more this GPU is gonna last. Saw quite a few ex-miners with dying memory some of my customers have bought, and it's not pleasant when your $400-$500 GPU starts artifacting just 3-4 months after you bought it.

But I'm also thinking on taking some RX 6800-XT from ebay, but i'll wait for the prices to drop more. Right now $650 sounds like a good deal until one remembers it's actually the original MSRP for that card. Will wait for the next gen to appear and then will buy when they enter the $300 range.
