Help me setup Ubuntu 20.04 VPS

I need some tool wthat will help me do this:

 

Install Flarum

Add FTP User that actually works!

Add MySQL database

 

I can't get this to work, I am losing my brain here.

Is there any GUI tool that will help me secure my VPS, add ftp etc.

Could I install Ubuntu GUI on my VPS that has:

• CPU:

  1 Cores

• Memory:

  2 GB

• Disk:

  25 GB

• Monthly Bandwidth:

  6 GB out of 2000 GB

 

and then install what I need?

depends on how you're accessing it... you can install a desktop environment but if you're accessing it via ssh you won't see it anyway. there won't be a magical button that just installs and configures mysql for you though, that's a bit too complex to be done automatically. there are plenty of tutorials explaining how you can do the things you need, if you have issues with specific steps try asking about those.

Don't install a gui it will eat resources and not really have a function on a headless server anyway.

If you can ssh? Why not just use sshfs instead of ftp?

Thank you all. I moved to shared hosting. Too much work and knowledge needed for VPS.
