I have a Samsung a52s (last samsung I will ever purchase) and it's touchscreen stopped working. After doing a hard restart it worked again for several seconds, until it locked out again. I've restarted it countless times now and I get a minute of functionality, tops. What is wrong with it?

Sounds like you got a defective unit. Have it refunded

The cable between the motherboard and the display is defective. I'll replace it soon. At least I got my phone functional to some degree by fiddeling with it. I am writing this reply on it.

You should replace the phone's touch screen digitizer if the touch screen does not work. It's a layer of glass that converts your touch into digital information. However, it's real to have faulty touch screen digitizer than breaking the phone screen.

I have already discovered that the cable between the motherboard and the display is defective. What are you a repair shop to suggest replacing everything?
