I am using Ryzen 3700x. Without knowing I have ordered the ram which is not optimized for AMD (Confused cause As you can see in the right side ram where it says optimized for both amd and intel). Recently I noticed there is exactly same variant for AMD at that same price as you can see in the picture. Now my question if I use this intel optimized ram will it gonna be a big difference? Or will I be able to enable D.O.C.P. profile.
Thanks

I'm no expert, but most likely just a marketing gimmick.

Just check whether your RAM is in the QVL of your motherboard, go to your motherboard's product website and find the RAM compatibility list. If yes, then you shouldn't see any problem/performance loss.

Occassionaly visits the forum when I have nothing to do at work.

Thanks you very much.

Ryzen optimized just means they probably changed some timings or parameters to make it more stable on ryzen.

^^^

aside from that if it works fine then no worries since you cant exactly fix something if it isnt broken

there will be no performance difference as long as its stable (which it should be on modern ryzen chips). Ryzen optimized just means they probably changed some timings or parameters to make it more stable on ryzen.

Thank you very much. Then I believe I will be able to do some timing adjustment on my own for my system even though I buy this intel optimized ram.

Take it from me, don't trust what the RAM manufacturer says. Go by the board manufacturer's QVL. I didn't know it was a thing until I found out the hard way. Although I was recommended Crucial Ballistix for Ryzen by a family member, and Crucial's site specifically says Crucial Ballistix BL2K16G32C16U4B are compatible with my Asus Tuf B550-PLUS board, two separate kits I got wound up causing problems with three different builds, a 5900X on the Asus board, a 3600X on an ASRock B450M-HDV, and a 1700 on an MSI B450M Bazooka.

The issues with the 5900X and 3600X have been resolved with QVL-recommended RAM, the 1700 has yet to be addressed, as it is in furlough. FWIW, the only person that recognized the RAM's SKU remembered ordering it for an Intel build some time ago. So go by the board manufacturer's QVL. It will save you a lot of headache.

If it helps, the Asus TUF B550-PLUS with Patriot VIper PVB432G320C6K (Viper 4 Blackout) at 16-18-18-36 timings, 1.35V (required manual settings) has proven itself a trouble-free combination with my 5900X. Just checked Asus' QVL and the same Patriot VIper 4 Blackout PVB432G320C6K is confirmed for the 3700X (Mattise) at 16-18-18-36 timings, 1.35V. The Patriot VIper Steel PVS432G320C6K should be the same DIMMs with a different heat spreader, same timings and voltage should apply.

If its already stable, dont mess with timings. They are a huge headache if you dont know what you're doing.
