This is more about fast startup and USB 2 soft power on Asus B560M-A AC

Eric Kazer

I'm having trouble with my SU 800 1 TB SSD not showing up. Also the fan at the rear of the PC spins continuously.

1. I went into power settings and disabled Fast Start Up.

2. I went into BIOS after updating it and disabled USB 2.0 Soft Power when shut down.

This should completely shut down system and allow the ADATA SU800 1TB SSD to show up.

That should resolve a lot of trouble. Remember to shut down after restart after updates. This will drain all board power.

Shutting down doesn't drain the board. Unplug PC, hold down power button for a few seconds... that does.

For you, does it show up in BIOS?
Command Prompt > Run as administrator > Diskpart > List disk

If you see multiple drives, including one of the capacity that SSD is, you're good to go. Open Disk Management, initialize as GPT, create NTFS partition the whole size of the drive.

Also your back fan is supposed to spin constantly
