Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  I love programming and devlopping some strage idea I have. So it will mainly be to create a game. From A to Z Sounds, 3D models, Engine.

Have you already built this? Or seeking input before build? Being in Canada, you're kinda stuck with with you can get and the overall limited buying power, but I wonder if there are some bang-for-the-buck plays to be made here.

For starters, I wouldn't insist on wifi on the motherboard. These can be quite quirky and if they fail, you have a problem you don't want to think about... A cheap 1200mbps USB wifi adapter does fine.

Looks fine except that you're using a B660 motherboard with a 12700K, I would recommend getting a Z690 board.

Why?  There's literally no point with alder lake, as the lead cores will automatically boost to the max frequency, no games ever need them to go that fast, and having anything other than the lead core boosted to 5GHz never matter outside of saving a couple minutes on hour long video renders.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

Thank you, I will go with a z690 board with an adaptor

You made a good point, I forgot to say I love playing with virtual machines, so having more thread is kinda important. I was thinking going with the

Intel Core i7-12700 instead.

I forgot to mention earlier, and it's not as big of a price differential in Canada as it is in the States, but with M.2s, you generally don't notice the speed increase much past 3,500 mbps. I usually recommend the WD Blue SN550 / SN570s here, but while $20 is $20, it's not that big of a price differential. Although that could offset the price of a USB wifi adapter. 😎

ADDED: I noticed your post states you are in Canada, however, your link is using the US version of PCPartPicker, which would be reliant on US pricing and availability. Unfortunately, in Canada, availability makes for a bit of a challenge. I am unsure if you have any preference to Intel over AMD, but here is my best bang-for-the-buck build based on Canadian sourcing and pricing.
