Best software for storage analytics?

I'm trying to clear som space on my drives but it's crazy annoying to try and manually go through all folders trying to find what is taking up space.

 

Would love suggestions on software for this purpose, preferably free as I'm a poor student.

 

If the topic already exists I couldn't find it but feel free to direct me there and I'll remove this thread.

SpaceSniffer is one that i use and its free, theres a few other ones as well.

WinDirStat is also quite a good program where you even have a visual overview of your files in the form of squares, whose size is dependant on the size of the file

Depends on your OS. 

 

For windows WinDirStat is my go to.

For macOS I use DaisyDisk.

On desktop Linux Disk Usage Analyser.

On Linux servers I like gdu.
