1 Memory isnt recognized by Windows

It could very well be a faulty ram stick, I would attempt by taking one stick out and then booting it back up and then swapping the other one into its place and trying to put it up and see if both of them run on their own and that will determine If they are working, and there are usually two spots on the motherboard that I recommended for two ram sticks if your motherboard has a capacity for four slots

Tried to boot up the system using each memory, and works fine, then reseat and change channel for the memories and now it's recognizing 16gb now.
