Hello!

i bought a new pc a few months back. Worked perfectly fine and still does, just one fan which seems to be from the case makes issues randomly and since today multiple times.

It works perfectly fine and then randomly starts becoming loud and doing an awful noise as well as spinning slowly.

The case is a corsair carbide 175RGB.

Any idea on what i can do? Opened side pannel and fan turns without issues on startup and also spins at normal speed.

It just randomly decides to start doing this horrible sound and slows down when it does so.

Is that front panel fan actually moving that slowly in person? If so it's probably going bad. It's a standard fan, so you can easily replace it yourself. The front panel comes off with clips on either side (you'll need to remove both side panels), and from there you can easily get to the fan. I have the same case and the stock fan has never made any noise, and it's been running for almost three years.

If you choose to replace the fan you can put another RGB fan in that spot (if you like the RGB lighting), or you could just put a cheaper non-RGB fan there instead. I have the RGB lighting disabled on mine since the computer is on the floor.

Are you sure there's nothing in there like a loose wire that is jamming the fan? I'd take it out of the case, inspect it, test it again while out of the case (just hook it up to a fan header), and if it still does this replace it / use the warranty.

Hello!

It is actually moving that slowly in person. But only when it does that horrendous sound.

I'm not that tech sawy but i'll try it out later today after work.

The awkward part is that i can play days without anything then it randomly decides to do this.

Atleast used to, yesterday a reboot would fix it for a few minutes then it would start again.

I am pretty sure about it but will try what you mentionned.

The awkward part really is that sometimes it just stays silent for a full gaming session and then randomly starts at some point. And just restarting the pc fixes it then.
