how do i switch a BT hum from IVP6 to IVP4 for hosting a server?

as title really.  I'm punching in my given IP address to (which isn't a 000.000.0.000) and CFX is throwing it out saying it's not valid

Not sure how it works on your router, but IPv4 requires port forwarding, IPv6 requires allowing incoming connections to that IP.

 

AFAIK by default, even though IPv6 does not use NAT, the firewall will still block direct connection attempts to those IP addresses unless told otherwise.  Otherwise all your LAN devices would effectively be completely open to the Internet at large.
