new windows help

Go to solution Solved by ommer15,

when setting up windows youll always have a new user folder in the directory that you installed it to. i dont think you can move user folders to a different directory without experiencing any errors (possibly due to hardcoded paths in the registry and such)

so i recently upgrade my hdd to a hdd + sdd setup

i cloned my old hdd to the new hdd and everything was perfect

i then didnt wanna clone the hdd to ssd but i wanted the ssd to be the one holding the OS and booting from it

i fresh installed windows on the SSD and now i have a different user stuff (i dont know what to call it but i  lost the background, apps, data)

is there any way to move the user folder from the HDD to SSD instead of all data?

i dont know if its clear but im trying my best to explain
