Cpu hot not long repasted

8700k 5ghz cache 4.71.32v delidded

h100i platinum cooler

 

hitting 80c on hottest core during aida64 and cinebench 

 

aio liquid temp is 32c and fans set to 2000rpm

 

cpu used to max around 72c not sure why temps are so high now

 

Ambient is 25c

 

alternativly I can run 4.7ghz cache 4.3 at 1.2v and temps only hot 65c

 

15c difference seems a lot for .1v bump in voltage 

 

something fishy going on or all seem normal ???

Delid was done 5 years ago 

repasted between cpu and cooler 1 year ago

If one core is significantly higher than the rest, It might be worth it to pop the top and replace the paste. It's takes the most abuse in that particular location. 

 

Not like the temps you're getting are all that horrible, the core temp differences are suspicious though.

No but one core is a lot lower than the others, 80c on hottest and there rest are around 78/79 and then there one core at 72c highest 

 

might be worth redelidding it ?

Well it's been 5 years.... usually one core is hotter, not 3 with one colder... 

 

What pasted is used under and on top??

Not worth it if you used LM amd the plate hasn't been disturbed, not sure if it's replied glue or not.. but the cooler mounting pressure could just be the culprit.
