looking for a two speaker set up

My family is going on a long trip and would like to buy a set of bluetooth speakers to watch movies with. Ideally these speakers should be:

  1. pretty loud
    1. Ideally able to be heard at 20 feet in a vehicle with pretty bad road noise
  2. around 100$
  3. fully wireless

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.

into trains? here's the model railroad thread!

Honestly, I can't imagine that it will be a good listening experience if you've got it up front. The first row is gonna get blasted and the back row won't be able to hear anything. But really, any moderately decent unit will do. This is the Wirecutter rec

Neumi BS5 + SMSL SA-36A

If you have any dead electronics, strip the cord for "lamp wire"

If that fails then you're probably looking at something like a pair of edifier R1280T or getting a pair of bookshelf speakers used off craigslist.

Why not just pipe into the vans speakers? That would likely be much better as there should be speakers front and rear.

  • 2 weeks later...

The brands that give by far the best bang for your buck in that price range:

F&D, Klipsch, Edifier, Tribit

The brands I almost never see a decent product from in this price category:

Bose, JBL, Sony, Logitech, Yamaha

That's just my advice.

OS: FreeBSD 13.3  WM: bspwm  Hardware: Intel 12600KF -- Kingston dual-channel CL36 @6200 -- Sapphire RX 7600 -- BIOSTAR B760MZ-E PRO -- Antec P6 -- Xilence XP550 -- ARCTIC i35 -- EVO 850 500GB
