Rog Z690 random audio pop/crack

Bagio

Hi everyone,

I’m new to pc builds and I’ve recently upgraded my motherboard and cpu, rog z690 and i9-12900k. Did a clean install of windows 11 pro after assembling and I noticed there are audio issues like random pop/crackle once or twice in a few minutes. Had tried searching for solutions online and no suggested fix have yet to resolve this issue. This is making me crazy as I mainly use the pc for music. Also, this is happening with my headphones, speakers, earphones and even the monitor speaker so it must be something wrong with the board.

I’ve updated audio driver, bios to the latest issued from asus board support. Uninstalling audio driver and restarting pc to have the driver reinstalled. None of this fixes this issue.

I’ve also noticed that this happens on quite a lot of z690 boards with audio chip alc408x (seen on rog forum and reddit). Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!
