Secondhand 770

A friend of mine is offering to sell me his year old Evga GTX 770 sc acx for £180 - £200, I'm not sure it is worth it, how much would you recommend? It till come with the box but that is it, maybe some of the extras but not all of them if so, he was willing to throw in a corsair cx500 as well but I'm not interested in it. Suggestions please. If this is not in the right place I apologise.

For 180 Pounds for the gpu+psu it's good if he still has the bill for warranty and stuff.

You should try get the GPU + PSU for £170, and if he is on the edge about it offer to buy him a pint as well, that always works

Then just sell the PSU.

Not a bad idea, just for context, I'm really looking forward to Batman Arkham Knight later this year and Witcher 3 in 2015 and I want to play both at ultra with physx on ultra at 1080p, will the 770 be good enough or should I go with a 780 or wait for maxwell, I'm probably going to be doing the build in about November for budget reasons?
