Why is XMP not working

So I've been trying to get my computer up and running I am new desktop computers but when I enable XMP it says there's a boot failure, is it something wrong with my components because I have 16 gig's of DDR4-3200 16-20-20-60 memory, gigabyte b660m ds3h ax ddr4 and i5-12400f. And what should I try?
