any way what PSU do you recommend.

Any of the ones listed above are fine choices, but what do you plan to do with the pc? Some obvious changes and as mentioned above again, getting 2 individual sticks does not always guarantee operation and I'd look at getting a better mobo like the msi pro b660 a

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post here. Please guide me.

Firstly this is my current config.

Intel Core i7 4770K (No overclock)
Antec C400 Glacial 120 mm cpu Air cooler
Gigabyte G1.Sniper B5 Motherboard
CORSAIR Vengeance DDR3 4 GB x 3 total of 12 gb ram
2 x 3.5inch HDD and 1 x 2.5 inch SSD
Asus strix 980 Ti
5 x Case Fans CORSAIR
Seasonic S12II 620 Watts (bronze rated)

As i am planning to upgrade to I5 12400F + EVGA RTX 3070

the recommended PSU for RTX 3070 is 650 Watt do i need to upgrade my PSU.
this is the upgrade path am thinking https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XG74PX
the total wattage is around 461 watts so that like 74% of my 620 watt Seasonic S12II
Secondly the PSU came with a 8 pin and 6 pin connector for 980 Ti requires 2 x 8 pin connectors i am using a 6-pin to 8-pin PCI Express Power Converter Cable. Since RTX 3070 is also 2 x 8 pin connector will this be a problem.

Appears to be tier e in the psu tierlist, so I'd reccommend buying a new one since it probably won't hold up to a 3070

What's your budget and uses for your pc?

The complete PSU is a problem with a 3070. Double forward with group regulation, bad voltage regulation, bad cables and connectors and bad protections. How many risks do you want to take?

12400F is fine but get a decent B660 motherboard instead of a budget H610.

Get a kit of 2x8GB instead of two, possibly, mismatched single sticks that are not guaranteed to work together properly.

Thanks for the reply. my PC is just for gaming so i wanted the essential that y H610.

H610 is holding up the CPU due to weak VRM. Pentium and i3 is fine but not an i5.
