Budget (including currency):

65000 CZK (approx. 2750 USD) - this includes a table, chair, monitor, mouse and keyboard. Without these it's around 43000 CZK (1800 USD) for the case and all the stuff inside.

Country:

Czech Republic (I will buy all parts from local shop I am loyal to for years now, therefore I am not looking for a US or any foreign country shop)

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Wide variety of games, recently I played Witcher 3 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, currently I am on Kingdom Come, latest Call of Duty and CoD Warzone, World of Warcraft and I plan to get back to simracing (Assetto Corsa or anything new that will yet to come).

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I will list my current build that I made in 2017. I want to build a new rig for me and the old one will become a home office PC. I am comparing parts for last two months, I decided that I don't want to wait for new generation of cards, DDR5 etc. I don't usually upgrade, apart from RAM and SSD (two things I bought for the old rig). I also don't usually overclock, the only thing on the last rig was minor undervolting of GPU. That said I might grab a new GPU or do some minor upgrade in a year or two.

Old (current) setup:
Monitor: Samsung C24F390F 24'' LED (Full HD 72Hz)
MOBO: MSI B250M PRO-VH - Intel B250
GPU: GIGABYTE Radeon RX 480 G1 Gaming 8G
CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 + stock cooler
PSU: Seasonic S12II - 520W 80+ Bronze
Case: SilentiumPC Regnum RG1 Pure Black
RAM: HyperX Fury 8GB 2133MHz DDR4 CL14; later upgrade: HyperX Predator 16GB DDR4 2400 CL12
HDD/SSD: WD Blue 1TB; later upgrade: WD Blue SSD 500GB (added)

New setup:
Monitor: MSI MPG ARTYMIS 273CQR 27'' LED (2K 165Hz)
MOBO: MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS - AMD B550
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT GAMING X TRIO 12G, 12GB GDDR6
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X + Be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black
PSU: Be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM - 850W 80+ Gold
Case: Be quiet! Pure Base 500DX Black
RAM: Kingston Fury Renegade Black 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600 CL16
SSD: Kingston SSD FURY Renegade, M.2 - 1000GB

I am open to any suggestion or opinion, but for some reason I want to have the brands and manufacturers "aligned" like that 🙂 Mainly I would like a confirmation that there is nothing really wrong in this build, or some major oversight. I chose Ryzen 7 5700X over R5 5600X because of simracing and I also sometimes record and edit some game footage or stream for fun and friends, I figured two more cores might come in handy. I wanted that RAM at 4000MHz CL19 but it's out of stock right now, I might upgrade that in a few months. Also I should be okay with 750W PSU, but 850W version might give a bit more breathing space. I believe build like that should be pretty balanced, with a potential of small upgrade in next year or two, mainly a GPU and RAM (I know I am stuck with DDR4 though).

Tell me what you think! Thank you! 🙂

First off, we're close enough to next gen parts releasing (AM5 is only a month away, even if you don't want to go for it you will see last gen parts hopefully plummet in price so you might get a pretty good deal on all of this) that right now you really shouldn't be buying a system if you've got a system that works for you. I get not wanting to wait for the next gen GPUs, those are still a couple months away and even longer for the mid tier cards like the 6750 XT, but for CPUs they are just around the corner (2 weeks from now is the announcement) that you really should be waiting.

For specific part recommendations, that does require knowing the pricing of all the parts. That 6750 XT, for example, is likely really expensive for a 6750 XT and realistically doesn't need that big a cooler, but at the same time I don't know how much you're spending since I don't know what's available at that shop or how much it costs. That would be useful to link the shop you plan on buying it at so we can browse the catalog and see what you can get (usually for an AM4 board my recommendations are the B550 Steel Legend or B550 Taichi depending on what you're doing, but that's because those boards in the US are really cheap for the feature set they offer, I don't know if they would be the same over in the Czech Republic).

I wouldn't really recommend going for a whole 1 brand setup, it doesn't help and it significantly reduces the amount of choices you've got. There aren't any real advantages to it aside, and there are some brands where they make pretty good products in one category but terrible ones in another (Gigabyte, for example, makes some pretty solid motherboards, GPUs, and monitors, I wouldn't touch anything else they make)

Not a good idea. 4000MHz is beyond the limits of most Ryzen 5000 series CPUs to run in 1:1 mode where you get the best performance. It'll boot and everything, it's just that unless you get really lucky with a CPU that can do 2000MHz FCLK (5600/5600X/5700X/5800X have the highest chance of doing this, but it's still pretty rare to find), performance will either be worse than the 3600MHz CL16 kit, or it would be incredibly unstable. You could take that kit and lower it to 3800MHz (the limit for almost all Ryzen 5000 series chip for daily stable settings), but it's still got enough of a timing disadvantage over the 3600MHz kit (3600MHz CL16-19-19-39 vs 3800MHz CL19-26-26-46) that I'd expect the 3600MHz kit to match the 4000MHz kit, or even beat it a lot of the time.

That kit isn't an upgrade over the 3600MHz kit you're planning on buying, it's a side grade at best, downgrade at worst. If you want to upgrade RAM, the only XMP that is worth the upgrade is 3600MHz CL14, or getting a kit of B die instead.

Oh no, I don't want to wait! 😄 Well it's two weeks to announcement, and apparently another two weeks for the first pieces to hit the stores. Given the fact that our home market is specific (which is a running joke in general public in Czechia, as many companies often say after they did "market research" - we want the biggest crap for premius prices), I might get my hands on new AM5 at the end of september. The prices of the older gen will be dropping, but also not as fast as in the US.

I'll list the prices from the shop here, so anyone could perhaps compare with prices in the US or any other country:

400 USD -- Monitor: MSI MPG ARTYMIS 273CQR 27'' LED (2K 165Hz)
150 USD -- MOBO: MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS - AMD B550
725 USD -- GPU: MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT GAMING X TRIO 12G, 12GB GDDR6
325 USD -- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X + Be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black
135 USD -- PSU: Be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM - 850W 80+ Gold
125 USD -- Case: Be quiet! Pure Base 500DX Black
140 USD -- RAM: Kingston Fury Renegade Black 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600 CL16
145 USD -- SSD: Kingston SSD FURY Renegade, M.2 - 1000GB

I'll link the shop here, but I wasn't able to find switch to english, I think they really just operate in Czech Republic 🙂

http://czc.cz

As for 6750 XT with three huge fans, there is of course a two fans version, MECH OC, that is 20 USD cheaper... I mean it really doesn't mean that much in the end as I am going to spend a lot there.

Thanks a lot for clarification on that RAM. My friend was actually suggesting very similar thing - that I might not be able to use the frequency and I will have to underclock the RAM a bit if I want to run Ryzen 5000, so I am glad I have confirmation on this 🙂

Edit: I just quickly checked the price of each part on amazon for comparison, and the prices are pretty much similar, 10 - 20 USD difference, except GPU and CPU which are way more expensive in Czech Republic (I checked other czech e-shops too and they all keep the same price on that particular GPU and CPU).
