playing on ultra on btf4 and my gpu wont reach 100% nor is my cpu reaching 100% I highly doubt it's being bottlenecked as my cpu isn't reaching 100%

average fps is around 65 at 60-70% load on gpu and cpu.

@WyvernAbstracts

From what I hear, BF4 isn't well optimised for PC. I imagine that because of this, obviously hardware isn't being fully utlilised.

but when i watched jayz's video on bottlenecking he was reaching 100%, but he was playing on btf3. Is it just the game? I'm reaching playable fps anywho so i shouldn't be two worried.

I thought Mantle was supposed to utilize more hardware juice? What happened to that, or is that not what Mantle does? Sounds strange.

My money is on the game optimisation. There is so much the GPU drivers can do to optimised and most performance is affected by the game itself. I hear nothing but bugs and issues with BF4 since it launch. I guess given time it will improve (maybe) AMD cards will work best with the game but tbh I doubt it will be even at the acceptable standard. Dice are just useless

Yeah mantle was suppose to. There was so much hype about it, but unfortunately, it failed. In fact, it caused discolour in games and made things look unusual. Maybe they have fixed it now (i don't know). Mantle isn't much good in the current state

my system runs bf4 buttery smooth at ultra in multiplayer and I use mantle (fx 8320 and r9 290)

1.update drivers to 14.4

2.use mantle if you aren't already

3.probably could raise you graphics settings since your at 65 fps and at 60-70% usage

disable core parking maybe

Honestly I feel like it's partly due to drivers, but mainly due to Battlefield 4 being poorly optimized.

The game should get better over time. The only thing you can do is keep your drivers updated, and let dIce work their game out.

The guys over at pcper said something similar but what they conclude is that with mantle plus cfx and amd's new drivers they don't go for crazy fps but try to work on frame times and consistency to lower tearing and such. would you say that when you play its butter smooth?

Loves PC Games :D
