The perfect laptop for (game) dev and traveling

Hi guys!

I will be moving soon to Tanzania (not reliable electricity neither internet - need for battery and at least 1TB storage), and I am looking for a laptop that fits me, could you please help me?

I am a computer engineer and video game's developer, but lately, I've been kind of lost with PC hardware... I am looking for a laptop with as much battery life as possible, but powerful enough to develop "indie games" and other software. Then I'd love to have repairability and, if possible, quality parts/structure.

So far, the one that have caught my eye is the Framework Laptop (with an i7-1280P). However, it is a bit too expensive for me, and I am not sure about it not having a dedicated graphics card.

Do you have any recommendations for my use case?

Thanks!!!!

I was thinking around 1,000 US (top 1,500). I'd purchase it from Europe, so many prices might change, but they are more or less the same over all.

Asus g14 or g 15. For your money a base rtx 3050 config with 16gb of ram is easily doable

Dont gamedev on a igpu not recommended at all.

I don't have it but I can look for stores with similar laptops and pricing.

This one looks interesting, even tough I think it is too gaming-ish. Too little ram and SSD (I'm going look for similar ones).

Thank you very much! Those look sick! (but my lord how expensive is good hardware hahaha)

It is funny how they trim Linus title in the site, so it doesn't say anything about mistakes ^^'

Those look better to me.

As always, I don't know whether I should go with AMD or Intel.

I have time until late October to make the purchase. I don't know the tech cycles on laptops but, should I wait and keep an eye on something?

Id wait a bit back to school sales will happen. For the legion basically no diff. The amd gets a bit better battery life. Just make sure you get the 80wh version.

The g14 and g15 have quite a bit more battery life so if thats a bif point get those
