So i made my first pc about a month ago. I has been having a series of small and annoying issues. 1) The mouse randomly stops working or accepts 10% of all input. (Its a logitech trackball) doing things like unplugging and replugging it sometimes fixes it.(hitting it hard a few times off my desk also helps sometimes) 2) more rare but here and there my screen goes black, but is fine once i switch hdmi ports. 3)my keyboards left shit key opens my calculator (but i think this last one is my keyboard and not the computer)

My pc is running windows 11 on

I7 12700k

Artic liquid freezer 2 240

4 4gb sticks 3600 ddr4

Msi z690 edge

Rog strix 3070

750w gold psu

- Install all the drivers from your mobo vendors site(msi)

- Install drivers for your trackball mouse and keyboard (if they exist)

- Disconnect any gamepads you have connected when you're not using them
- You might have a bad HDMI port

In short; have you done your due dilligence when it comes to driver installations?
Windows has gotten pretty good at fetching drivers, but not in all scenarios.

I did go look for drivers and installed them. Now if i installed them correctly not sure but i looked at msi site and it checked and said i was up to date.

screen blackout is potentially a dying monitor. How old is it? Could also be a bad cable.

How are your temps?

Temps seem fine and im using my oled tv its not that . Temps stay low for the most part they stay mid 60s

You sure your trackball still "works" with Windows 11?
Logitech loves planned obsolescence.

It is a mouse that only a year or two old. But out side of that no idea, i do wish logitech didnt own the trackball patent so other companys could make them

You can get Amazon basics or Kensington trackballs. I used one in the past but it's really bad for shooter styles game so I go myself a "proper" gaming mouse.
