I have compared my pc to people with exact same specs as mine and my pc is underperforming by half the fps and has very big fps dips and drops nearly every 3 seconds. I have a ryzen 3 3200g and an rx5500 4gb with 16gb of ram and a 500w power supply. I use an extension cord with my pc if that helps and my pc has always been clean, is quite new (2 years old) and has had not much problem with temperature. Have tried most things such as swapping ram and ressetting to windows 10 with a clean boot and even wiping my gpu drivers. What should I do as the fps drops are getting very annoying.

Did you somehow accidentally end up using the 3200G integrated graphics instead of the RX 5500?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I have plugged it into the gpu and I am using my game ssd drive which is  my D drive

What kind of SSD? NVMe or no?

What does the health status of the drive look like? Run HWiNFO or equivalent to find out.

Check driver installation, DDU any old drivers.

Well, sorry to tell you, but if that's a locked garbage OEM PC, it's designed to perform badly...

image_2022-08-03_153338338.png

So to recap: you have an HP Prebuilt Desktop that experiences constant stuttering and low fps in general?

  • You're using 2 DIMM for RAM but can't overclock it or enable DOCP/XMP due to MB limits
  • Your games (D drive) are stored on a SATA SSD which is not failing, per HWInfo
  • You've already attempted Windows 10 reinstalls, and DDU, and are currently investigating AMD Adrenaline

Are your games (D drive) and Windows OS (C drive) on the same SATA?

Do you notice instability (apps crashing, PC restarting, etc) during any other usage?

Are there any other programs running while you play games?

Has this always happened or has it gotten progressively worse?

What games are you playing that have these issues? Do any games suffer more or less?

Since you already have HWInfo, can you check the GPU section of the summary and confirm the PCIe version and the actual data rate?

Additionally, we can use HWInfo to confirm if the CPU, GPU, or both, are freaking out during games, or running at 100% utilization, or overheating.
